“Morning C2M,

I wanted to drop a note that Convert2Media is not going
to be dealing with Email Submits for now on. Seriously,
they are the biggest headache in the world. From Advertisers
and Agencies scrubbing to the offers just stop converting for
odd reasons, we are doing away with them.

The retarded part of all this is when this stuff gets pulled uneducated
affiliates assume and place the blame on C2M. A little clarity here, if
you dont get paid, we dont get paid. Plain and simple.

I will put up a more detailed response for anyone that may
want more clarification on this in the forum but for right now,
please pull all email submit offer links immediately. I’m seriously
sick of the bullshit we have to deal with and more importantly
that these offers have so many flaws that providers of these
offers have a number of options to screw you out of money.

The buck stops now with Email Submits. Until I can find a solid
provider or someone different out there that will actually respond
to customer service, we just arent going to deal with it.

Please pull all email submit links immediately.

Thanks,

Watching UFC 92 really brought a few thoughts to mind as far as business for the fighters.

The main thing the fighters teams seem to do, other then coach their fighter to victory, is to make sure the sponsors products or logos get the proper air time on TV. They try to do this in a few ways, but two big ways stick out.

The Sponsor Logo “Banner”

The first way comes when a coaching team tries to unroll their logo banner that goes in the fighters corner of the Octagon, or whatever you call a corner in an Octagon. Their wall I guess..? Anyway I’ve seen teams that are obviously unrolling their banner for the first time ever right there before the fight. This doesn’t work, the edges keep trying to roll up, and us viewers at home are not really seeing the logos on that banner, we’re seeing you fumble with what obviously should have been ready and isn’t. What you need is something more like cloth.. something that will drop immediately, you can have a small weight on the bottom and it drops right down and is immediately easy to read. It’s time to move forward from the poster style logo banner, it’s just not working.

T-Shirt(s) After The Fight

The second struggle to show the sponsors logo(s) comes after the fight, when the fighter is hot and sweaty and they need to put on a tshirt with the sponsors logo on it. Many times fighters are struggling to get their shirt on but it doesn’t have to be that way. Cut the arms off the shirt, and expand the arm holes. Have the collar of the shirt removed and make it more of a baggy type shirt. Adjust the logo on the shirt as needed and there you go, you now have a shirt that will be easy to get on BEFORE the announcer gives us the official word.

It’s awesome the UFC is doing so well, I am completely loving it and the level of talent is just insane. Who can beat Anderson Silva at this point? Will Lesnar beat Mir this time? And now Nogueira is going to fight Couture which is an insane fight.. although I really think Couture can win.

I do plan on blogging more about UFC in the future. If you have a great UFC blog let me know about it here!

My Affiliate Marketing Journey Begins

I started seriously marketing Clickbank products on 12/14. I tried ten different products of which only three showed any sales. One of the products was a series of products and I probably just approached them from the wrong angle so maybe I’ll try again later.

Of the three products that showed sales, the first product sold only one copy which was later refunded, which really sucked because it was for $40. Another product had three sales before I paused the campaign, and not long after that I had one refund. The third product that made sales has made just over 40 sales as of 12/31 with only one refund, so this sounds like my first Clickbank winner.

Making Money With Clickbank?

My income from Clickbank for my first two weeks was $731.36, and as of the morning of 12/31/08 the total income is $921.71 at this point. My ROI is currently hovering around 10%, which isn’t much but just starting out I’m happy with it Plus I’m learning a TON and getting tons of info from my tracking program and adwords and it’s very exciting to see it all in action.

Affiliate Marketing Goals For January

My goal for January is to move into email and zip submits, raise my Clickbank ROI on that profitable campaign and start researching a few more Clickbank offers to try.

I also have two merchants that I have decided I am going to make serious, solid landing pages for and invest some significant time and effort in. One of them I am SUPER excited about as it is brand new and the world is going to love it. But it is still in beta and I can’t talk about it until it’s ready! The other merchant just approved me through ShareASale and it’s a product that really caught my attention and interest so I’m excited to really get to work on that as well.

So that’s my few first steps in my affiliate marketing journey. I will be sharing more in the days ahead, and I can honestly say the future is looking pretty amazing from here. If I can make that much in sales in just a few weeks as a relative newbie, I have the potential to be making some big numbers in the next six to twelve months and beyond.

I live in an apartment complex and at least a few times a week, sometimes daily, you can hear a car alarm go off around here. But you never see anyone run out to check it.. hell sometimes the alarm will go on for minutes before it’s turned off or sounds like it turns itself off. Is there anyone that still runs outside thinking “OMG my car is being stolen!” when they hear their alarm?

For those of you with car alarms, if you’re not going to pay attention to your car when it is screaming at you, why did you get a car alarm in the first place? Do you think someone else will take care of it for you? And what would you do if you did see someone? Maybe call the police and by the time they show up it would probably be too late.

Seems to me you could spend your money on something other then an alarm.. like for instance something that locks your stearing wheel so even if someone breaks into your car they can’t drive it away. “If you have the club, use it.”

Maybe I’m missing something, but why waste money on a car alarm these days?

It’s time to start over fresh and get this blog rolling again. So let’s start with where I’ve been business wise, where I’m now going business wise, and why it could be in your best interest to join me there.

Making Money with Blog Networks?

I spent 2008 and a good part of 2007 building Wordpress Multi User, or WPMU, blog networks. I dreamed up some cool concepts, had some amazing people help me with design and coding and got to work.

We built WarhammerBlogs.com, along with a couple other amazing blog networks that have yet to grow to anywhere near their full potential, and I was really proud at what we had accomplished.

On a side note Warhammer Online, the game that WarhammerBlogs is based on, has been seeing a steady decline of players and I am going to be putting the blog network on hold until the War40k MMORPG comes out.

The PPC Bug

During the time that I was first promoting WarhammerBlogs I played with some PPC advertising on Google Adwords. We threw up an ad for an ebook game guide and immediately got sales. I ended up pausing the campaign when it needed tweaking to focus on the blog networks, however something kept bringing it back around in my head and I just couldn’t let the concept of PPC advertising go. Eventually it became to be the only thing I could think about when I sat down at my desk to work.

So that’s where I am today. I am 100% into PPC marketing and am spending every moment working on it and loving it. There is money to be made in blogging and blog networks, but I must say that the potential to be successful with PPC is far greater then the potential to be successful in blogging. Of course that depends on what your definition of successful is, but I’m talking about creating the kind of income that will give you the freedom to do whatever you want to do in this life of ours.

Learning PPC

It was right around the beginning of November when I realized all of my blog projects were going to have to wait and I needed to learn the answers to all of these PPC questions I had. For every answer I was getting about PPC, I was coming up with another 3+ questions. I was dying for information, and it was not long until I found and joined both PPC-Coach and PPC Classroom 2.0.

PPC Classroom 2.0 is no longer open to new students, but PPC-Coach is still accepting members. If you have questions about PPC or have thought that a coaching program for PPC would really benefit you, then I highly encourage you to join me at PPC-Coach.

If you have any questions about the coaching program, feel free to ask them here and I will respond. I am almost into my third month and I can already see that I will be using the coaching forum for years to come. There is so much valuable information there, it’s like nothing else I’ve found online. You get real answers to your questions in this forum from people that make a living with affiliate marketing and PPC. Join me at PPC-Coach and get your affiliate marketing education started today!

SEO’s: Rank Higher

As Shoemoney puts it “So the key here is going to be to not make Google look stupid. If your site is about electronics and your accepting ads for stuff not related to electronics clearly trying to manipulate Google search engine placements then your probably going to get dinged.”

No need to get Google angry with you. Only select links from InLinks that are relevant to your sites users and you will make money and keep Google happy. What could be better?

That’s right. Google could be taking your picture right now and from a cool distance of 423 miles away. And that’s not in the next city over, that’s above you.

The picture above was taken with Googles new satellite that is orbiting our planet at 423 miles above the earth. That’s right, they are getting that amazing picture clarity even at 423 miles distance.

“…The spacecraft can take photos at a resolution of up to 41 cm — close enough to zoom in on the home plate of a baseball diamond, according to Mark Brender, GeoEye’s vice president of communications and marketing.

…This is the opposite of a spy satellite,” Brender said in a phone interview. “Spies don’t put info on the internet and sell imagery. We’re an Earth-imaging satellite, and we can sell our imagery to customers around the world who have a need to map and measure and monitor things on the ground.”

It might very well be the opposite of a spy satellite, but it still bothers me somehow.

Man how the world is changing, it’s both amazing and unbelievable at the same time. Check out more details on the new Google satellite over at Wired.

With the recent economic downturn many people are cutting back on things in their life that they can live without. Some people are going out to the movies or to dinner less, others are cutting back on their premium cable TV channels. Personally I’ve gotten rid of both our Netflix subscription as well as our Gamefly subscription to save us some cash. But most of us will not give up our broadband internet access, even in times of financial trouble.

JupiterResearch has a new study that examines consumers entertainment spending with some surprising results:

“A new JupiterResearch study that examines how entertainment spending will be affected by the downturn found that nearly one-third would cut back on moviegoing, and 12% would cancel premium cable channels such as HBO and Showtime.

But only 2% would cut off their Internet service to reduce expenses in tougher times.”

I knew I would never give up my broadband internet access but I didn’t know that 98% of you agreed with me. Personally I would cut back on food, clothing, movies.. hell I’d even keep the heat lower in the winter just to keep my broadband internet service. My computer will keep the living room heated up nicely while I’m busy watching videos on youtube.

Sounds great and all, but prolonged time in outer space causes your bones to become brittle. Without gravity and stress on your limbs, your body will stop producing the things you need to keep your bones strong. So until they can solve that problem I can’t see any of us hanging out in space anytime soon.

However the benefits are obvious. Being able to take materials into space and create huge solar powered generators with very little effort is pretty amazing. Although this makes it sound more like a dumping ground for waste:

“In the carriages, the scientists behind the idea told The Times, could be any number of cargoes. A space elevator could carry people, huge solar-powered generators or even casks of radioactive waste. The point is that breaking free of Earth’s gravity will no longer require so much energy — perhaps 100 times less than launching the space shuttle. ”

It really is amazing though that we will have an elevator into space. Next we’ll need fast food and snacks offered in the elevator, so you can grab a quick bite to eat while you’re on your trip to the moon.
